The Hampshire Athletics Track and Field Championships were held at the Down Grange Sports Ground, Basingstoke on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th May 2026.

At the close of entries on 24th April we had received over 1000 individual entries from 570 athletes. Over 500 actually competed on the two days across over 900 individual entries.

Championship Best Performances were achieved by:
Serena Vincent, City of Portsmouth, who threw 17.25m in the Senior Women Shot Put, The previous best performance of 15.24m was set in 1983 by Caroline Savory of Aldershot, Farnham and District.
Amelia Gray, Andover, who jumped 12.46m in the Senior Women Triple Jump. Her best jump of the competition was 12.68m but this was wind assisted (wind speed +2.3). The precious best performance of 12.22m was set in 2006 by Katherine Streatfield of Team Southampton.

Performances in the Under 14, Under 16 And Under 18 events are Championship Best Performances for the revised age groups. The wind proved challenging on Sunday with several wind assisted best performances including the Sprint Hurdles for Under 14 Boys, Under 16 Boys and Under 18 Men; and the Under 18 Women 200m all recording wind speeds in excess of +2.0m/second.
