Officiating Courses

We would like to announce we are running Level 1 courses for the Track, Timekeeping and Field disciplines at Basingstoke & Mid Hants AC, Down Grange, Pack Lane, Basingstoke
RG22 5SN on Sunday 16th March 2025
These are 'Face to Face', from which will gain a much better experience than 'Virtual'. You will also have the opportunity to meet and get to know the great people you will be working with when assisting at competitions.
The programme for the day is:
- 09:45 - Registration
- 10:15 - Discipline Courses
- 15:30 - Finish
All courses have some work outside especially with the Track Course which is predominately out on the Track so bring warm and weatherproof clothing plus your packed lunch.
To become a Level 1 Official the Journey looks like this
Booking a Course
- Register on Athletics Hub
- You will receive your Officials' licence number by email and a link to the Hub
- You need to do this before trying to book a course
- Book onto one of these courses, for Hampshire Officials the region is South East, the course costs £30 and is normally refunded by your club and the course reference numbers are:
- When applying you will also need to register for the online Health & Safety and Safeguarding Modules unless you have already done them
- When applying for your DBS you can put Terry as your Verifier and bring your documents with you to the course and he will deal with it at the time
