SEAA Inter-Counties Championships
(Horspath, Oxford, 8 December 2018)

The SEAA Southern Inter-County Cross-Country Championships 2018 took place on Saturday 8 December at Horspath, Oxford.

The Hampshire teams finished as follows:

  • Senior Women's team: 3rd (Louise Damen 7th and Rhiannon Dunlop 9th individually)
  • Under 20 Women's team: 2nd (Maddie Deadman 5th and Lizzy Squibbs 7th)
  • Under 17 Women's team: 4th
  • Under 17 Men's team: 9th
  • Under 15 Girls' team: 3rd (Isabelle Hinkley 5th)
  • Under 15 Boys' team: 3rd (Ryan Martin 4th and Woody Jerome 5th)
  • Under 13 Girls' team: 3rd (Robyn Fossa 2nd and Annie Mann 3rd)
  • Under 13 Boys' team: 4th (James Lewis 4th and Daniel Shattock 7th)

Under 13 Girls' teamIn the first race, the Under 13 Girls recorded Hampshire's highest individual performances of the day, with Robyn Fossa and Annie Mann finishing in second and third places, while the team also finished in third place, missing out on second place to Surrey on countback. Under 13 Boys' teamNext to go were the Under 13 Boys, who finished in fourth place, led home by James Lewis who also was fourth.

Under 15 Girls' teamThe Under 15 Girls were Hampshire next podium finishers in third place, with Isabelle Hinkley finishing in fifth position individually.
Team: Amelia Moore, Hannah Foster, Ruby Horton, Rose Chesterfield, Isabelle Hinkley, Rachel Gillett, Mabel Lewis and Holly Wilkinson

Under 15 Boys' teamFourth and fifth places for Ryan Martin and Woody Jerome led the Under 15 Boys to third team spot, just two points behind second-placed Surrey.

Under 17 Men's teamSteady running by the Under 17 Men saw them finish in ninth place.
Team: Callum Crook, Luke Hillary, Toby Brawn, Theo Doran, Elliot Pocock, Edward Wright, Ben Pattison and Oli Morgan

Under 17 Women's teamHampshire entered two teams in the Under 17 Women's race, and the 'A' team finished in fourth, five points behind third-placed Sussex.

Under 20 Women's teamThe Under 20 Women secured Hampshire's best team performance of the day, second place, with Maddie Deadman fifth and Lizzie Squibbs seventh.
