Sportshall Fun in Athletics South-East Regional Final 2015

Hampshire's U11 Team at the Regional Final 2015With so many last minute changes, it was difficult for the Boys' team who came 8th but some notable performances from Morgan Vinnen who won the Standing Long Jump, Aiden Hunt who was joint 1st in the Balance Test and William Cubbage who was 3rd in the javelin. Josh Fawcett and William Parkinson also ran well in the 6 Lap Parlauf race.

The Girls came 5th but it was extremely competitive with less than 100 points between all 8 teams. Notable performances came from Emily Eades-Scott and Isabel Pinder who won the 6 Lap Parlauf and were 2nd in the 2+2 Lap race and Freya Branningan and Lucy Davis were 3rd in the 1+1 Lap race. Abi Hutchings won the Speed Bounce, Jasmine Larsen won the Javelin, Isabel Pinder was 2nd in the Standing Long Jump, Ella May Sprake was 5th in the Vertical Jump and Brooke Turner was 5th equal in the Chest Push.

More importantly than any of this, the children competed with smiles on their faces, were impeccably behaved and had a lot of fun making new friends between different club teams.
