691 athletes have entered this year's championships, which will take place at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May.

Rule Changes for 2013

False starts

Athletes are reminded of the changes to the False Start Rule as per UKA Rules of Competition Rule 111(14A) as from 1 April 2013:-

In all Competitions for Senior, Under 20 and Under 17 athletes, any athlete deemed responsible for a false start shall be disqualified.

(This rule will not apply in Schools events.)

Under 15 age groups

With effect from 1 April 2013, in accordance with UKA Rules of Competition Rule 107(3)(vii), 400 metres races for Under 15 Boys will be replaced by 300 metres races in the Saucony Hampshire Athletics Championships.

(This will also apply to all Hampshire Schools events.)
